28th February 2020: Turangi trout fishing report
Weather: 26 degree C (day), 13 degree C (evening), hot and sunny.
Outstanding sunny weather with very hot days have been the norm here in the Turangi for this last month. Low river levels and crystal clear waters allowing for lots of great dry fly action and sight fishing for all. The Cicada and the leaf hopper fly has been fishing good for some anglers.
Lake Taupo is fishing well for the boat anglers fishing down deeper and also harling early morning plus streams mouths have been producing some nice table fish. Lake Otamangakau has been fishing well and should continue to do so as the weathers cools.

23rd February 2020: Julian Cribb trout fishing Taupo
Lake O ran hot in February with big hatches of insects encouraging the fish to rise. This fine rainbow took like a lion and put up a slashing fight, left and right, almost straightening the hook, before being netted, kissed and returned.
